Celebrity hairstylist Sally Hershberger has one basic tenet when it comes to styling hair for major events: Keep things natural.Ms. Hershberger, who typically attends one or two evening events a week, says many women make the mistake of creating big, elaborate hairdos for events. "Women sometimes make it too much like prom style, with the tendrils or with the hair piled high on top," she says. "It's too geeky." Generally, "I'm not into the big hairdos," she says.
